Overview

The AOSH regularly holds various courses related to occupational safety, heavy machinery, chemicals and chemical risks.

Most of the courses are held via the Teams teleconferencing system, which makes it easier for people from all over the country to participate. Examination, if applicable, takes place at the AOSH’s offices or, as the case may be, at partners’ facilities.

Teams participants need an Internet-connected computer with a microphone and speakers or headphones. Before the course begins, participants receive an email with a meeting invitation and instructions. If the email is not delivered or access to the course does not work properly, please contact vinnueftirlit@ver.is or by phone 550-4600

The AOSH also offers online courses in collaboration with the Iðan training center. These are courses for safety representatives and safety officers that is open to participants for one week and a course on asbestos that is open to participants for three days.

Please note also that recognized service providers in occupational health and safety offer education and services regarding various aspects of occupational health and safety.
