The Administration of Occupational Safety and Health offers theoretical courses to gain the rights to manage smaller working machines and construction cranes. The courses are held in Icelandic, English, Polish and even more languages.

Various driving schools offer basic courses for heavy duty machinery, which is a theoretical license course for all sizes and types of mobile work machines that require a license.
